The McNeice/Vaughan Trailblazers In Education Scholarship

The McNeice/Vaughan Trailblazers In Education Scholarship awards a high school graduate who attended Twin Hickory Elementary School, in Glen Allen, VA, for one full school calendar year, and who plans to enter the field of Education, with a $500.00 Scholarship.

The Laurie McNeice Scholarship Fund for Education was established in 2015. The scholarship is awarded in memory of Laurie McNeice, a young and inspiring teacher at Twin Hickory Elementary School, who passed away in 2014. Twin Hickory Elementary School has annually celebrated the life and honored the memory of this dedicated teacher, caring family member and loyal friend with a scholarship in her name. In 2020, our community lost another gifted educator, Sheryl Vaughan. Mrs. Vaughan was an inspiration to so many with her cheerful and positive attitude, contagious enthusiasm, and dedication to her students, their families, and our community. The THES PTA Board voted to rename the scholarship in 2021 to honor both of these amazing teachers who touched so many lives in the community.

Congratulations to our past Scholarship Recipients!
