Welcome to THES Chess Club!

Calling all young minds with a passion for strategy – the THES Chess Club is your playground for learning, playing, and embracing the exciting world of chess! Join us as we dive into the game, participate in scholastic events, and celebrate chess excellence in and around the Richmond area.

Ready to join the chess adventure? Enrollment is limited to 20 students, so register your student early to secure a spot. Students should have a basic understanding of chess and be familiar with the chess board and pieces. The cost for this 8-week fall session is $100 per student, covering 6 engaging club meetings with a chess coach, a snazzy t-shirt, and all related materials.

Volunteers Needed:

Calling all chess enthusiasts – we need your help! To ensure a successful club, we're looking for parent volunteers. If your student is signing up, consider lending a hand as a volunteer.

Pick-Up Point and Respectful Request:

When the chess action concludes at 3:45pm on Thursdays please be respectful of our dedicated school staff and parent volunteers by picking up your superstar at the school doors nearest to the gym/cafeteria.
