After School Cheer Team

TRY OUT registration:  REGISTER HERE  (opens 9/3)

Bring your enthusiasm and school spirit to our very first cheer team! Coached by our very own THES First Grade Teachers, Mrs. Seligman and Ms. Statmore, your cheerleader will learn chants, motions, jumps, and dance routines. This team is a great way to develop teamwork and leadership skills in a confidence boosting and encouraging environment. The cheer team will perform throughout the year at various school events such as Blazer Blasts, Fall Festival, etc. 

TRY OUTS: (we can only take 20 students) By submitting this form, you are aware that your child is attending cheer tryouts. The try out portion does not guarantee your child a spot. After tryouts, an email will be sent to everyone who attended that will include who made the team with additional information. 

Cheer team tryouts will be open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders on 9/10, 9/11, and 9/14. Your child must attend all three days. The participants will learn a cheer, a band dance, and show any tumbling they have. Deep Run Cheerleaders will help participants learn the cheer and band dance on (9/10 & 9/11). On tryout day (9/14) cheer team coaches from other schools will help Mrs. Seligman observe their skills and enthusiasm. 

Team Details:

• This is a year-long commitment where cheer team members must commit to every Thursday practice from 3:00 - 4:00pm (September-May).  
• The first practice is Thursday, September 17th. The last practice is Thursday, May 27th. 
• Bring a water bottle and wear sneakers
• $130 registration fee (includes t-shirt, pom poms, and other cheer materials)
• Once we have finalized the team, you will receive an email from our PTA Programs Coordinator, Melissa Parvizi, that includes a link to pay.
• No refunds available.
